Part of the fun of joning up with Spear Danes and Shield Maidens is working to create a Viking Age persona. Get to know our group a little bit by reading our bios below.
 Völund Burvelson (AKA Smith) is an accomplished warlord, blacksmith, and craftsman. He is easily recognized by his long braided beard and shield with a red and white cross. Originally from the area of Vicken, Völund acted as steersman on our voyage across the wide sea and south to our new home. |  Bjarni Herjolfsson Viking Sea Captain (also a Chieftain) most likely the first European to sight the east coast of North America. Never set foot there thou, but Leif Ericsson bought his ship and rediscovered the new lands |

 Gerrick Völundson has trained from a young age with spear and shield. Learning from his father, the warlord Völund, Gerrick quickly excelled to the front of the shield wall and has earned his keep defending our little settlement. |  Skeggi Hrolfson grew up in the trading port of Heiðabýr where he learned boat making and woodcraft. Skeggi can ususally be found carving in the wood shop or telling stories of gods and heroes in front of a fire. |
 Gráulfr (Grey wolf), is one of the original settlers of our land; however, his nomadic spirit cannot be contained and he has traveled far to the North again. He always comes home for the Alþing and he is always liable to show up when he's least expected |
